Formed in 1979 as a Delaware corporation, Teradata’s original product, the Teradata Database Computer, was first utilised by Wells Fargo and AT&T, among others. Teradata established a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) on a proprietary platform in 1984.
After many years of rapid growth in the data warehousing market, in 2011 Teradata expanded its presence in marketing applications. Teradata acquired Aprimo, the leading provider of software and services that advance the productivity and performance of marketing organisations.

In 2012, Teradata acquired eCircle, the leading full-service digital marketing provider in Europe, extending Aprimo’s solutions by providing cloud-based email, mobile and social media solutions. Aprimo and eCircle have now rebranded as Teradata to make up the Marketing Applications arm within the Teradata Corporation.

Each campaign is planned and executed across email, social media and mobile as well as supporting digital channels such as display, affiliates and lead generation for brands to acquire new customers.
