Top Front End Developer needed for a niche agency based in Shoreditch and one of the world’s leading data visualisation studios, with clients such as the BBC, Google, Visa, and Transport for London.

You’ll love building high quality interactive digital things that work on any platform (and most browsers). You will also use sparkling code using the latest tricks, techniques and libraries, which needs to be accessible.

You’ll be working alongside a top-notch team of developers, designers, researchers and journalists, and will have a portfolio brimming with digital goodies you’ve already lovingly crafted.

HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, SQL and JSON will be in your arsenal. An eye for graphic design and layout is a given alongside a habit of producing pixel-perfect code with undeniable attention to detail.

Job entails:

 Skills and qualities we’re after:

– Ninjascopic HTML and CSS skills
– Advanced Javascript, SQL and PHP knowledge
– Familiarity with either jquery or zepto – preferably both
– Knowledge of HTML 5, browser compatibility and building responsively
– Good understanding of JSON
– Experience of version control
– An eye for graphic design
– Not ‘scared’ of big data, spreadsheets, Google Docs or badly formatted CSV documents
– An interest in, and an understanding of, user experience and accessibility
– Microscopic attention to detail and an attitude for producing perfection
– Highly organised and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines
– Patient and flexible with excellent communication skills

Bonus points for experience of:

– Server-side javascript
– Common libraries like underscore/lodash
– Frameworks such as codeigniter, laravel
